My Colors are Blush and Bashful….

One thing is for sure, our favorite southern belle had great taste and great taste never goes out of style, even if “the church does look like it’s been hosed down with Pepto-Bismol”.  Oh M’Lynn.  Sometimes you just can’t have enough pink!

We spent some time this weekend out on our dear friend’s boat.  Their 13 year old daughter and I got to talking about the decorating plans she has swirling around in her mind.  She’s thinking about repainting her room in a soft shade of pink.  This young lady has great taste so I have no doubt she’ll do an amazing job on her own but I told her I’d throw something together just to help her along.  So I started with some inspiration photos from the all mighty Pinterest to get the juices flowing.

I love this blend of pink on pink.  It’s soft and feminine

If you’ve been following along for a while, you know how much I LOVE a painted ceiling.

I love the contemporary elements of this mixed with the soft pink

This one feels a bit more traditional and sweet

A mix of contemporary with Boho

Sophisticated and understated…

But our girl Camille, I see her as more on the glam side…

So with that in mind, I came up with a glam room for a hip young lady

Everything was sourced from and each item was $100 or under.  I know white scares a lot of people but I love using a white duvet because not only is it a great backdrop for everything else, it’s easy to clean.  Just throw it in the was with a little bit of bleach and boom!  Instant clean.

Color suggestions for the walls, I love Sherwin Williams Alyssum (6589) or Bella Pink (6596).  They’re both soft elegant without being too precious.  I think the balance of gold and white keep it fun and sophisticated.

The bottom line is that pink never goes out of style and there are so many shades to choose from making it versatile for any age.

Who doesn’t want to be able to say this?
